Our thoughts create our emotions
- When we are stressed, angry or any other difficult emotion, our bodies go into the Sympathetic or Survival Mode. Our breath becomes shallow or unrhythmic. Each difficult emotion has a distinct breathing patten.
- Grief: Shallow exhales/Deep inhales.
- Anger: Deep exhales/Shallow inhales
- Fear/Anxiety: Shallow exhales/Shallow inhales
- Breathing is the key to helping activate release from difficult emotions.
- Exhaling through mouth signals the body to relax and let go.
- Exhaling through the nose signals the body to cultivate or strengthen the Qi.
